i used to see you as one of my lifelines. i could relate to you so much, you were basically the only person that made me feel seen and not alone. i always wished that i knew you, because i wouldn’t mock you and would’ve loved to be your friend. i felt like we were going through similar things and i felt for you and i felt your music on a soul deep level. it has brought me to tears multiple times. i want to say, thank you for helping that little girl, who was scared, alone, isolated and shameful of herself. thank you for helping her live through what she did. she was torn down in the seventh grade, but not from bullies or something targeted towards her…but rather she learned about her friend tearing themself down and she didn’t know what to do and tore down herself too. the guilt, shame, terror and desperation was a constant for my younger self for more than a year straight. that little girl wouldn’t have gotten out of that without your music, so thank you. you’re amazing and i hope you are loved, loving and giving yourself the love you deserve. i am healing, and i am so glad that i found you all those years ago on a.g.t or i wouldnt be in the place i am now.
