Good tip about hanging bias for a while before you level it. So important!

Hello! This is the first time I have had the opportunity to watch your channel; such a pleasure! At the outset you mentioned that you love sewing dresses and have made many. I like dresses, but only have a few. I took sewing in junior high and liked it. In the past two years, I have found myself watching mostly quilting tutorials (I have yet to make a quilt, but have recently purchased the fabric to do so.) I guess this makes me a beginner with potential. I was interested in the patterns you introduced, but it was your dresses that tuly brought these designs to life. You looked so beautiful in the photographs which show you modeling your makes. All of your dresses are simply lovely. Such pretty fabric chosen and the dresses were beautifully constructed. Thank you for sharing your sewing journey and your awesome creations. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your makes and listening to your tutorials! You have inspired me to start sewing dresses! ❤ Sincerely, Anita

I like your idea of changing the skirt layer lengths to complement oneself. Thank you! These dresses have a silhouette that I like, too.

I love your choice of dresses, they all look great on you. I love the materials you’ve used as well. I’m a newbie to dress making, and I’m a bit nervous 😮 but I’ll give it a go.

Probably wouldn't be one for you, but I, as a larger woman (size 18UK) absolutely love the Style Arc Venice dress (with the lower skirt altered a little). I have made half a dozen in various fabrics, with various sleeves. I love all Style Arc patterns as the sizing is perfect for me. People say that Style Arc patterns don't give very good instructions, which may be true, but I rarely, if ever, look at the instructions, so don't have that problem. Love your videos, you speak so well, and make such lovely clothes.

A lovely selection of dresses! I've made a Darling Ranges dress, and I really love wearing it, and I'm in the middle of making the blouse. Seeing all your Myosotis dresses has made me think I need one in my wardrobe! I think my favourite dress that I've made is the Isca shirt dress by Marilla Walker. I love the looser style of these dresses, they're great to wear with a cardigan or cropped jumper in the winter.

Brilliant selection! I don't know why but I really don't get on with TATB patterns. I must try harder! x

Wonderful video Sally 💕 you and your makes are so inspiring, so many absolutely gorgeous dresses!! I still can't believe that I didn't manage to make the Darling Ranges Dress fit me but you motivated me to try it again!! And the Eve Dress 😍 I totally forgot about it, I definitely have to start sewing it up! Have a lovely Sunday and thank you for this great video 🌞💖

Very, very interesting video . I love them all and what you have done with them and I only have the indigo which I have not made yet. I’m very tempted to buy them all although I have a few patterns (&fabric) to get through yet

I love this type of video, I always find it interesting to hear from sewists who make a lot of different garments. My personal fave dress patterns are:
TATB Lyra
TATB Indigo
Hinterland dress
Forsythe dress by French navy
A jersey dress by Ellie and Mac called the Staycation dress.
I also love a Sew Pony dress pattern called Tic Tac Toe which I use to make dresses for my daughter 🥰

Hi Sally. I love the look of all those dresses and have all the patterns too, but haven't made any up yet. Your hacks are always lovely. I have cut out a wearable toil of the Darling Ranges dress, but I can't remember which version I cut, since it was almost a year ago when I cut it.😕 I've been wanting to get it out and finish it, but there are still about 6 things ahead of it in the queue. But if it's a quick and easy sew, maybe I will squeak it in between some of the others. I think I have the straight version cut out. So it would be even quicker to do.
