Make a quilt block with me using this old vintage quilt as inspiration. I’m using my scraps and re-creating this beautiful quilt!
This is the classic log cabin block using scrappy fabrics.

Fabric requirements:
One (1) 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” square - brown or black

First set of strips - yellow - one (1) 3 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 4 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Second set of strips - green - one (1) 4 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 5 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Third set of strips - pink - one (1) 5 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 6 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Fourth set of strips - black - one (1) 6 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 7 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Fifth set of strips - red - one (1) 7 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 8 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Sixth set of strips - green - one (1) 8 1/2” x 1 1/2”
One (1) 9 1/2” x 1 1/2”

Thanks for reminding me i don't need to spend $$$$ on those fancy log cabin rulers!! I like how this looks and all i need is a cutter, a basic ruler for cutting strips, sewing machine, my scraps and thread! The specialty rulers can stay at the shops!!!!

Great match, Those fabrics are gorgeous, they remind me of the wrap around aprons the old ladies wore when I was a kid in the early 60's, they were worn over their skirts and jumpers and always bright and beautiful, I'm sure there would've been apron envy in those days 😁
