Hey Mike, this is the first time I've really left a comment on YouTube, but think you deserve it. I like how you're one of the only guys doing in-depth video tutorials on static site generators. There is a severe lack of content at this time, probably because a lot of these frameworks are quite new. I like how you're simply setting the context in this video, but it is a little bit long-winded. I was hoping to learn more about specifically what technology and architecture makes a static vs dynamic website. Consider adding some visuals to make things a bit more clear. Looking forward to your other tuts!

I went through your hugo course and its amazing
but if I didn't, it would be really hard to realize the capabilities of static site from this particular video
like for a newbie, static site is a set of some html, css and js files and I never thought I can put some complex logic into it, that I can manage the building process of a webpage with templates, partials and shortcodes
and this is important (I think) but you didn't mention it
anyway thank you for doing this awesome tutorials!

can i just load the static site and then use ajax to fetch the missing dynamic data? Then i can have the both worlds, cant i do this?

So what I would like to know is… can I convert a Static site to Dynamic or do I have to rebuild it? I have been looking at what your doing including your recent rants. This was really a rhetorical question, but it shows a small hole. I am simply expressing a logical question that you created.
