It was in 1999 when I first wrote the lyrics to this song. I had just lost my mother, and my partner at the time went into rehab for a heroin addiction. It was a dark hour for me. Recently, after JDF and my father passed away, I dusted these lyrics off, rediscovered the meaning of this song and finally recorded it with producer @nickmarzock ... This made me cry. After hearing about Jason I was devastated. Like so many people my age, you, Jason, Walter David, Thuy, and Austin were my heroes. But none so much as Jason. Tommy was a character that wasn't always the good guy, and as a kid i didn't always see myself as the good guy.;I struggled in a lot of ways. But he taught me that even people who aren't perfect can wind up a hero. As an adult i learned that a lot of the problems i had as a kid were due to undiagnosed mental health issues. I still struggle with depression. And Jason is still my hero. Losing him will always hurt, but knowing how much he loved his fans and his family still inspires me, despite how his story ended. And it's also lit a fire under me to get help and keep trying and fighting. You two were always my favorites. Thanks for sharing such a deeply personal song, and for still being here. 🩷💚

I love AJJ, but my favorite thing about this video is that it demonstrates that people were vlogging way before YouTube. As a kid in the 80’s every park had at least one dude with a video camera documenting his visit.

She came to my ice cream stand and I was geeking "Omg!! it's the Pink Power Ranger, Kimberly!!"
I was a huge first season Power Rangers fan as a kid (1993-94) best season.
