Donald Trump has threatened that, if he comes back as US president, he will impose 100% tariffs on countries that drop the dollar, trying to cut off their trade. Ben Norton discusses how this will accelerate the global dedollarization movement, incentivizing more nations to join China, Russia, and BRICS in seeking financial alternatives.

The U.S. economy relies on ongoing credit and debt generation for sustenance. The Federal Reserve is expected to increase the money supply, leading to further debt accumulation for the average American. Meanwhile, foreign nations continue to desire the U.S. dollar, despite their own economies facing significant challenges, some even worse than that of the U.S. This situation raises concerns about who will ultimately bear the consequences of these economic dynamics.

A weak dollar can signal an economic downturn, making me to ponder on what are the best possible ways to hedge against inflation, and I've overheard people say inflation is a money-eater thus worried about my savings around $200k

I live in Türkiye and about 7 years ago, economic sanctions were imposed on us due to a political dispute we had with the USA. After the sanctions, the Turkish lira rapidly lost value and millions of people were victimized by this situation. It is now 2024 and the Turkish lira has still not regained its former strength and continues to lose value. Of course, USA sanctions are not the only reason for this, but we should not forget that it is one of the main reasons. The USA has lost a little more trust after each country it has imposed economic sanctions on, and now they seem to have come to the end of the road. I hope this mafia system will end as soon as possible.
