this happened to me on an account i created 2 months ago. i tried everything and nothing worked. i tried to log in today just out of curiosity, and i logged in no problem. didn't even ask me for a phone number. so one option is just wait. not sure how long.

THANKS SO MUCH! This worked for me, sort of.
1. offload + reinstall on iPhone
2. still didn't work when I login on phone
3. used desktop version, and the code immediately sent

Mine asks for authentication app code, but I never installed one! I choose sms option. Why is it asking for authentication app 😭

Go to your settings and check for your blocked numbers. There should be a number there that roughly says “32665”. Unblock it and it should fix the issue, try resending another code once it’s unblocked. Hope this helps.

You have to use a desktop to get the link sent to your phone, that's how I had to do it.
