Jason Kenney sworn in as Alberta premier

United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney and his cabinet ministers were officially sworn in as Alberta's new government on April 30.

Kenney became the province's 18th premier following a ceremony at Government House in Edmonton.

Kenney's UCP defeated the New Democrats in the provincial election April 16 when the party won 63 seats to the NDP's 24.
