Protesters Spray American Tourists With Water Guns in Spain

Tourists abandoned their tables as protesters squirted them with water guns in Spain. It happened in Barcelona which is a hugely popular tourist destination. It's just the latest reaction to the phenomenon of overtourism. The number of Americans heading to Europe this year is up 34% compared to last year. Barcelona, which has a population of 1.7 million, had more than 12 million visitors last year, many of them from the U.S. Inside Edition's Les Trent has more.

It’s mostly in Catalunya (Barcelona) because they want the properties of the region for catalan people and not for airbnb.

I used to live in a tourist-heavy city (in the states). I get it, it can be annoying. But there's no reason to attack and harrass people just living their lives.
