Ive had this lens since early june, and it is definetely one of the lenses with the best cost x benefit, especially if you have IBIS. I've updated the firmware and now Ive had no more focus issues.

Thinking out loud. If most of the upcoming Sigma Art lenses for E mount and L mount are DSLR lenses with additional barrel, then would it be more versatile to buy the original EF or Nikon mount Sigma lenses and use them with adapters for Sony A or Leica/Panasonic/Sigma L mount cameras? This way, they can be used on existing Canon or Nikon cameras, if you already have those as well.

Thanks Hybrid Shooter, I am adding my vote for you to review the new Sony 24 f1.4 prime. As I read somewhere, you can justify purchasing that lens along with the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 as combined, they equal roughly the same price as for the Sony 24-70 GM lens alone. That rationale works for me!

Did you ever review the wide angle extension for the sony 28mm?, wondering how sharp it is, since I'm visiting Austria this year and I love the 21 mm field of view, other option are only the expensive voigtlanders or minolta vintage, but last one I have it and are not sharp enough for modern times...

Thanks for the video! I use exactly the same setup. Sometimes I wish Tamron had 24mm on the wide end but overall this is an insanely good lens for the price. The reason why I decided to buy it instead of the Sony 27-4-70 GM lens is minimal focusing distance. I rented the Sony GM lens and focusing distance was obvious in the first few hours of shooting video but this is just my shooting style I guess.

As for the 24mm f/1.4, GM it's amazing. I may buy it. I want it... A comparison between this lens and the Sigma 16mm f/1.4? It may not be fair but kind of interesting.
