Thursday proved to be a challenging test at ANGC, with a number of challenging pins combined with surprisingly firm greens resulting in a number of good rounds derailed on the second nine. Smylie and Charlie discuss course conditions and the group of players in contention, while also reviewing the show's daily fantasy lineup and one-and-done picks with the first round in the books.

There are 62 players at +2. I thought Smylie was going to faint when Jose Luis Ballester was brought up. The cut could be +3 or +4 at least tomorrow. I felt for Tommy Fleetwood. He was +1 and I thought Jon Rahm and Wyndham Clark were going to curse on tv. I thought Nick Dunlap was shocking. +18 for dead last.

If you look at the green fron the approach you are coming, or should come from, you come in from the south and the direction comes from there.

Rory is even, but we all have been there the next day after throwing away a round so mental mindset will be huge here. If he shoots 72 a different way I think yeah no problem, but throwing away all those shots he is going to have to battle some demons heading into Friday.
