Anakin lost his mother, lost his 1st master, lost padme, lost half his body lost his identity, lost a chance to have a relationship with his children, and lost his connection to his best friend and master obi wan, and at the end he lost his life

I think saddest has to be Anakin just due to his life before the temple. They both lost their lovers, their masters, their apprentices, their people. Obi was just never a slave and didn’t have to watch his mother die.

He was lucky to have Qui-Gon. It really shows how far it can go to have a decent father figure in life who leads you and what could happen if you don't have it and come to face such big struggles and trauma on your own. Obi-Wan was a great teacher, but he was like a big brother to Anakin and he needed a decent father figure like Qui-Gon just as Obi-Wan needed one too. He was also a rebellious kid who had his bad sides and thanks to Qui-Gon's leadership, Obi-Wan got straight and became a solid man. Especially Anakin who came to the Jedi too old to train and with his attachments and traumas as a slave kid on Tatooine needed a strong father figure as his mentor.

Absolutely. Anakin's pain started with a lie, but Obi Wan had gone through so much and had seen almost everything. He had every right to turn, but he didn't. He really is the truest Jedi to exist. 🤟🤟❤️‍🩹

Obi wan is proof that sometimes holding a secret to protect someone may not be the best for them-even if you care about them. If he had told the council about anakin and padme, anakin wouldve been exiled from the order, him and padme would go off together, have had their kids and hed continue to independently study the force while most likely getting a job as a mechanic and living a normal life. Its not like hed be upset about leaving, he hated the order by the end of it. And more than likely, obi wan, plo koon, (depending on when obi wan told) ahsoka, and the 501st may have vouched for anakin to stay. Not that i think itd do anything, the council was ran by a bunch of arrogant old fools-but still.

I think that’s debatable when you realize there’s Grievous, Maul, (obviously Anakin), The Clonetroopers, Younglings (after the purge), etc. Kenobi is definitely up there in the top 8 I’d say. I mean he lost his father figure, lost his brother, lost his love, but Maul was snatched away from his mother and was forced to serve Palpatine as his apprentice. He endured great pain and suffering to become his acceptable and formidable apprentice. Maul lost his legs and lost his sanity in a dump planet where all there was only primitive savages and scavengers. Maul was forced to be a dark used and felt he had to continue this path because it would’ve felt worthless, he always believed he was destined for more similar to Tai Lung. Though sadly in the end after decades passing he felt his purpose was Kenobi after enduring more pain and suffering from Sidious as a prisoner. He couldn’t let go of past and it consumed him. There’s also Grievous, the Jedi killed his species and lost his love due to corruption in the republic and the ignorance of the Jedi. He was practically brainwashed to serve Dooku/Palpatine and also hold onto that pain, rage, and suffering for his motivation and purpose. Grievous became much more machine than man, less than Vader actually. Grievous was the reference and foreshadowing of Anakin becoming Darth Vader. The clonetroopers were programmed to follow orders, they had to learn independent behavior after a deep concentration and growth of character like Rex and Fives. Their brothers were like slaves to the republic that were seen as property. They made sacrifices and although they didn’t live quite as long as Obi-Wan some could say they definitely suffered especially during Order 66. Forced to kill their friends and family. Overall I’m not saying Obi-Wan’s story isn’t sad or tragic, it’s just not the most tragic story. Anakin and Grievous, and others obviously takes it, Obi-Wan can be up there though in my opinion
