ok but real shit for anyone genuinely looking for an answer: modes are just inversions of a scale, or just starting from a different point in the scale. for example, starting on the B of a Cmaj scale would be a B locrian scale, and locrian is a mode of major. hope this helps :)

Well, Modes are just groups of scales that have the same notes .

Like the Major/Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian/Natural Minor/Minor, and the Locrian Scale.

This, seven scale share the same notes, but have different starting/tonic/first note. Mainly because you just shuffle it.

So any scale can have different modes, by mainly shuffling the notes of that scale. And you get different (new)scale, built on that scale you've shuffled.

I like to play the phrygian minor with elements of it's dominant at times, or vice versa. It can get pretty sick.
