Second gen here. This is absolutely true. I personally know all these men AND women and grew up with them. And while some of us were lucky enough not to have all types of abuse perpetrated, and some of your experiences with yoga centers may have come out completely innocent - do not shame or slander them for having the courage to share and expose these experiences. They are absolutely real. I witnessed so many of their true trials and tribulations and it is not a verificaion of lies just because some of us were not as lucky. I personally believe everything that they are reporting, for what I've seen makes me believe so. And what I've experienced makes me know so. So I wasn't sexually abused by adults but by fellow youth, while separated from my parents at 7 years old. Additionally I suffered physical, psychological torment, distance therapy, coercive control and emotional detachment by the lifestyle and practices perpetrated and forced on us by the first generation. I suffer severe emotional CPTSD as well as cognitive deficits, psychological disorders and ongoing difficulties trying to literally understand how to behave and live in society, when the society I were raised with is disintegrating and found to be false and and the society surrounding me is so confusing because we were literally removed from it to NOT absorb it and were actively trained to reject it when we encountered it .I am still trying to reconcile everything that has been exposed, accept that fact that I was born and raised in a cult (which is SO HARD to accept inside) and I have no idea if it's too late or even worth it to try and "fix" some damage. Haven't figured out yet how to heal even ONE of the wounds left on me caused by the lifestyle, beliefs and practices disguised as such wonderful gifts that completely destroyed so many amazing lives and has crippled me in ways I am still surprised to discover at 46 years old.

Finally! Kundalini yoga gets it’s due! I took one class 20 years ago and knew it was a cult. Cringe worthy yoga.
I was a yoga instructor then for 5 years. The class I took was the most ridiculous crap I’ve ever experienced, it isn’t yoga at all. When people would say they taught or practiced it, I would be very concerned that they were sucked into the cult glory hole.

Looking forward to seeing this, especially as it looks like Kundalini Yoga might be included. I absolutely love this yoga style and find it funny that some consider it a cult. It has only brought me health and happiness the past 15 years, as well as a basic introduction to the Sikhi. How beautiful to learn about japji!

Oh boy..
personally, as a kundalini yoga teacher I’ve never - not once - experienced anything horrible through KRI, IKYTA or any of their teachers ..
I am in my own little bubble in the SWFL area.. so, I may have missed the “cult” boat..
the kriyas and meditations have been very beneficial for me, my family and our community.
staying aligned with Truth.. no matter what. Not wavering one bit.

I practice and teach Kriya and Kundalini Yoga, I never got into the Yogi Bhajan thing. I was KRI certified. Kriyas, prayanama, and Kundalini meditations work for the body mind and spirit. I just left YB out. There are other teachers before him.

You don't have to go too far to see a cult in action, most protestant churches works that way, not to mention catholic or orthodox ones - lefebrists, or "traditionalists", are straight up cultists for example, same for quite a lot of parishes - they pretty much exist around a priest, at least here in poland where priest still is seen as almost divine, infallible figure by some.

There should be a disclaimer that this video is based on the opinions of the ones that made this video. I have practiced this yoga for 15 years and I have never had a bad experience. There were never any "blue bags". This video is sensationalized to gain the attention of the followers of this world. Remember Timothy Leary when you watch this video, "Think for yourself. Question authority." Sat Nam = Truth is the True Identity of All. I would suggest that you follow the Teacher's (YB) advice and not participate in negativity. It will only create negativity within you.
