Here in Scotland we believe black cats are lucky. It's an old tradition for brides to carry a small cut out picture of a black cat in their wedding bouquet and if one crosses the bride's path on the way to church, even better. My neighbour brought out her black cat for this very purpose when I got married and he was coaxed across my path with a bit of meat, lol.

I would snap up that CUTE KITTY in a heartbeat. I had a black cat when I was a kid. His full name was Blackbeard pirate of the food. He'd eat anything, even bugs. He was a muscular cat and looked like a mini Jaguar. He was such a good boy. RIP Blackbeard.😢❤❤❤
