2:30 am working on University Calc 3, minoring in mathematics. And I couldn't get a simple triple integral problem that had a ln/x part. I decided to take a break on it because I was getting frustrated, took a nap woke up 2 hours later, and found this video. It turns out I did a simple U substitution error.

Why did I type this? To remind everyone that it's okay to ask for help and to go back for refreshers or to learn. Sometimes, we get stressed or caught up with other stuff and we make simple mistakes. Looking at a simplified version of it or even learning something new can help a lot.

No matter how "smart" you are, don't be afraid to look up something when you can't figure it out. :)

These videos are extremely helpful to not just high school students but also to sleep deprived Uni students. <3 Thank you for helping us learn.

Leave the integration aside, your voice is so attractive!

This was the exact video I needed thanks alot! I also used u substitution but forgot to make it so that xdu=dx and couldn't figure out what had happened to the denominator x

It can be solved in one step ( a function multiplied by its derivative)

By integration my parts :(I =int. Lnx/x
Consider lnx 1st func and 1/x 2nd func. After using the formula you get I= (lnx)²-I which gives I=( lnx)²/2

How come we set the numerator = to u instead of the denominator? I’ve been trying to figure this out forever…

I actually had this one in my exam and I forgot to divide it by 2 :(

Won't the final answer is Inx +c? Since lnx^2=2lnx then divided by 2, anybody correct me please if I’m wrong

im sorry but... i dont get why you multiply 1/x by dx. where does that come from? isnt the derivative of lnx just 1/x?
