Don't listen to the voices in your head
They're gonna leave scars if you don't show it
I'll be waiting and waiting 'til you come to your senses
Baby, tear down your fences, baby, tear down your fences for me

Number of highest/lowest rankings: 5/23

Slippy's really gone downhill.
Saving Light acoustic is so underrated.
Realized a little while ago that Slippy's music is Lil Hank with more (unused) talent but worse sound design.
I thought Fences was gonna grow on me, but I was wrong.
Never Know had so much potential in it's somber style, but the sounds that have been in EVERY Slippy song since 2018 started ruined it.
I stand by Wash Away having the worst drop I've ever heard.
LOL I got red for Blue To Blue
I really did not expect everyone to like Not IRL as much as we have.

Not IRL is one of the two only good modestep songs on monstercat (imo)

23. Too screechy for my tastes, but the second drop makes up for it a bit. Still my least favorite on the Flux EP.
22. Moving Hectic 2.0, and it's not as good as the first one. It is a decent track, though.
21. It sounds nice, but it doesn't really have much of a reason to exist, considering there have already been a few different official versions of Saving Light with acoustic instruments. And even disregarding the original song, this doesn't really work very well as a standalone track.
20. My least favorite on the dog ep. It's like We Stan a Good Puppo, but worse. The other three tracks on the ep were far better.
19. The production is pretty good, considering it's 7 Minutes Dead, but I just can't get past the vocals. They bring down my enjoyment of this song by a lot.
18. Unlike Speaker, the screechiness works here. It's super catchy, and it's unique for Stonebank. Good stuff.
17. It's sad that this is my favorite Bishu song on monstercat, but i only barely like it. He has so many great releases off-label, but nothing from him on monstercat has really appealed to me yet. Hopefully his EP will change that.
16. NCS Tobu/Alan Walker type stuff is gonna be a no from me. And from the previews, the remaining two songs on the EP don't seem that impressive either. It looks like Something Strange will remain my favorite Vicetone release on the label for both 2018 and 2019.
15. Very impressive. This and Hank's Back surpassed the project's debut singles imo.
14. It's like Needed U, but much better. This almost beats Carol of the Cartels to be my favorite solo Bossfight on the label so far.
13. Definitely my favorite song on the Flux EP. I love the guitar, and a lot about this song reminds me of Ramzoid's recent EP, which was pretty good.
12. A close second on the EP for me, this was a really great track as well. Tim Moyo's vocal performances on monstercat so far have been phenomenal, and his next one, on the song Inside Out, will definitely be my favorite from him, if KP's livestream preview was a good representation of the song.
11. It's not a very impressive debut, but it's a decent track. Sort of reminds me of Skrillex's remix for Pendulum, but it's not as good.
10. Contrary to what the video says, I didn't rank this at #2 for the month, I put it at #3. Regardless of whether it's 2 or 3, it's a damn good track. Not quite as good as RIOT's three solo releases in 2018, but it's up there.
9. Wasn't really a fan of the vocals here, and the drops don't do that much to make up for it. It's my least favorite song from the LP released so far.
8. This just feels so bland that I can't get into it at all. Feint has made some powerful dnb songs, but this isn't one of them.
7. Absolutely fantastic. To whichever member(s) of the lil hank project made this, thank you. My favorite song on MC for january, and even though it was immediately surpassed in february by FWLR, I still love this song so much. There's something about the atmosphere in it that adds so much to its vibe, and makes the drops even more impactful.
6. Forward is one of my favorite songs ever on Monstercat, and by far my favorite from Duumu, so I had high expectations for this. I don't know what I expected this song to sound like, but it wasn't this. It's a very unusual song, and I like it a lot. This might grow off of me over time, but for now it's my second-favorite MC song from duumu.
5. I liked Space Flute, but this completely blows it out of the water. If Julian Calor releases on monstercat again, he'll have a very high bar to meet.
4. Very impressive song. Notaker's work has been consistently great (with the only exception of too smooth), and this is my second-favorite mc song from him, behind Shimmer.
3. I have conflicted feelings about this song. There's aspects of the vocals that I like, and some that I dislike. The production is simple, but powerful. Ultimately, the song feels too dull for me to really enjoy it. Poor Surgeon is monochromatic in both its cover art and its tone.
1B. Very nice song from CloudNone, this is my favorite from him so far. Hope to see more stuff like this from him in the future, and perhaps someday we'll even get an Uncaged release, since he has made some pretty good uncaged-worthy material on his other aliases.
1A. It doesn't quite beat Summer, but this is a great song from Modestep nonetheless. As an inversion of Higher's concept, this one works better than their debut. While I might have preferred a harder dubstep drop, it's nice to see some variety on Uncaged, and ultimately I'm glad that this song turned out the way it did.
