Urquell is the benchmark beer when it comes to pale lagers - get it fresh from tank in a pub who knows how to treat this beer properly. When I'm in Czech I drink Hubertus from Kacov, which I think is as good as Urquell and it is about 40% cheaper

Sadly the version of this beer we get in the states is pasteurized and not as fresh as the one you get in europe, we are better drinking pilsners, ade in craft breweries out here so we get that fresh taste, my favorite pilsners this side of the Atlantic are Pivo Pils by Firestone walker and ICE by Modern Times, hope you can try them. cheers
