Played it for 10 hours now and can't stop. It's the best thing I played in years. It's smart, beautiful, elegantly designed, but that's not it. It does something with you that's unique. It does not narrate or comment anything or take you by the hand, but it gives you more than most other games a feeling of being in a world, that was designed just for you and that invites you to explore and understand it's mysteries. And that is coming from a fighting game player who hates open world games!!

Maze simulator 2016, all jokes aside it does seem there is not enough variety with just increasing harder mazes. 10 hours sure, I could play portal or braid for 10 hours too... but ~40 hours of maze puzzles?...

Jesus. I felt like the guy in this review just kept giving away spoilers for puzzle mechanics, and stuff that you unlock as rewards. I get that he didn't like the game, and that's fair enough, but he seemed to lose all respect for the idea that other people might want to discover this stuff on their own. Every other review I have come across seems to understand that discovery is a massive part of The Witness, and this guy seems to ignore that entirely.

Guys I bought this game because I absolutely love puzzles. 3/5 is a great rating for this game because once you take away the gorgeous scenery and the ability to walk around the map it's simply a repetitive maze game. I've greatly enjoyed the game but $40 here in the U.S. is too much for this game. Once this game is discounted to maybe half of that ($20) I would say it's a definite buy if you like these types of games.

So it is just those finger puzzles I can get on my iPad, which while fun don't justify me paying 40 bucks. I thank you for an honest review I will pass on this game.

Great review as always!!! I had a feeling this game was going to blow goat's lol.It looks like a complete border in my (opinion) and I am sure other people watching this video would agree.All these great games coming to PS4 and this being one of the first I see of many.Let me not get my wallet out and buy this, ASAP, lol just saying.
