Sorry you had so many issues getting your install. Mine was 2 days from seeing Nissan to install day via Pod Point. Guess I was lucky. Heard a few issues with the Rolec units from other people. Glad Nissan opted for Pod Point with me. 👍

I've got the same unit for my leaf and I can say it's been faultless in the two years of ownership.

As stated in the previous comments a rough installation indeed for starters no sleeving for the cable going through the wall or silicone sealant to stop moisture getting in and if its TN-CS or TN-S that is guaranteed not to be converted to TN-CS earthing system in the future it must have its own earth rod to separated it from the main earth supplied by the grid.

So why did they not drill a pilot hole in your wall first? I have never seen walls blown out on the inside and outside….terrible!

Not very impressive the way he has knocked the surface of the brick out and not made good with any sealant or covering plate. Did he drill from inside or out?

I thought the ev charge point had to have a TT earth spike connected to the unit and not the earth from a PME supply?

Hi Aaron, I watched this vid and noticed you'd already got your new leaf before they installed the pod point, my car is due for delivery 23/3/18, I'm assuming they tried to install before you took delivery? What notice did they give you?How did you charge the car whilst waiting for pod point installation please?

id be too worried about idiots messing with the cable and stuff, think I would go for the one where you plug the cable into the wall socket instead of having it built in

Hi Aaron what cables came with your car and how long are they

Hey pal looking threw your old videos and this podpoint install is FAR too low under the regs for OLEV.

He made a mess of your brickwork and internal plaster. That's really shoddy. Unless they're contracted to return to make good? I'd be complaining strongly, if that's the 'finished' job! Also, why did he put the cablefully in the weather, when it could just as easily have been placed just out of sight on the inside of your porch wall? the positioning of that mounting bracket is also an 'accident waiting to happen'. How long until it's broken or filled with water?

Can you show us all some more detail of this installation. I think there could be some safety issues.

Where is the earth the install checked if tncs otherwise known as PME this unit should not be connected to household have it's own dedicated earth and that fitter is a joke

If that's the standard of the install of the power supply fitting i wonder if the installer is a certified electrician looks worse than a DIY job in fact no self respecting Diy'er would leave such a mess. Ask for your money back

thats a very poor quality install, very poor indeed..no need for blow outs like that with massive damage to both sides of the wall...unacceptable....caused by someone that has no clue or cant be arsed. no shielding for the cable going through the wall either..not good enough.
