Why people pay attention to the voice, when the really important part of metal is MUSIC. And James still sing well! I know is not the same as when he was young but... He is still a voice master!

Time flies. I'm 48 now and remember so well being 15 trying to play this song on my guitar. One of the first Metallica riffs I ever learned. I remember freakin out when I finally got it and it sounded right.

do the ppl complaining about james' singing realize he didn't "sing" songs back when the early albums were recorded he shouted or yelled the lyrics! He "sings" 10x better now then he ever could back when ride the lighting was recorded. he was great at what he did back then but f'd up his voice with that style by the early 90's and had to learn how to "sing". He now "sings" older songs an octive higher then the yelling he used to do. so how can you say he can't hit the high notes?

to every1 talkng about james' singing. I remember listening to justice back in 89'. in a very typical parent teenager moment. my father open the door to my room and with an unasked of opinion said to me "that guy can't sing"! Ten years later when a tallica song would come on the RADIO IN THE CAR he would say "i still don't like heavy metal but i like metallica, and i know it's them because of the guitars even though i never heard this song before and all the best bands are like that"!
