That chubby guy on miso soup is one of the original Iron Chefs, Masaharu Morimoto! He's very famous all around the world. He has several restaurants in US. And, looks like he also has product brands on his name. He used to be thin but hey, he's almost 70 years old now.

I have one of his cookbooks on my shelf.
