did they have seat belts in 1941 or was it an “ahead of the time” option ???

It is just beautiful. I can not understand why people want to sell them, if nothing else, just to use the car as a car for the enjoyment rather than look at it as a "valuable piece of property to wait for the value to go up", somehow, at least to me, diminishes the value.

Why wouldn't you close everything so at least a person could see what the car looked like?

This vehicle was far ahead of the marketplace, and a legend for Henry Ford. (It did have the cheap horn - a byproduct of Henry Ford skimping on parts to save $).

He sought out "Lincoln" earlier that century and helped invent the "luxury" platform for the Middle Class and Upper Class. This platform (in earlier years) created LOTS of jobs for metal fabricators and mechanics nationwide. Customers could come into the dealership and order specific customizations that were hand built but shared the Ford/Lincoln chassis/frame. America owes a huge debt to Henry Ford, in both the automotive and commercial aviation industries.
