Neo is necessary for the more advanced games to support VR. Until now we mostly see smaller, more simpler games demoed on PS VR. The neo will allow for the bigger more ambitious games to potentially support it.

The leaked restrictions say that the game must be playable on PS4, but does not specify whether the games need to be playable on PS4 VR and PS Neo VR, or if they can be limited to Neo for VR functionality.

The PSVR external box is not for processing power. It's merely included as a means to transit video to a 2D screen. It has no additional processing power.

Psvr Break box does not
Provide extra GPU or CPU power
and definetly not an “expansion unit” or “upgrade” for ps4. Get it together your a gaming chanel

Im calling it, the 4K thing is going to be a box, with powerful specs, and that same box is going to run VR as well. The whole VR set at $400 and just the box is going to come out at $200-250. You read it here first.

Do you need the PS Neo to use the PS VR? I want the VR and I don't want to buy another PS4 when my normal works just fine. It's still bullcrap that they would release a new better Neo. I don't mind it but once they start making Neo exclusive games and content, then that's where they'll have problems. Or if it's like the 3DS. Games are compatible with both but on the original PS4, the games chugs along and it runs bad but technically, it still works!
