From the album "Banish Air From Air", released 24th Feb 2023

Words from the Rudyard Kipling poem of the same name.

It turns out that this is a favourite poem of Nancy’s too and it’s an honour to have her sing and play fiddle on it. A lot of the arrangements for Kipling’s peaceful ghost story seem based around the tune to “Poverty Knock”, however this one has a lot more to do with a lock-down interest in clawhammer banjo! Having said that, the cantering rhythm suits the rhyme sequences of the poem and it could as easily be about the Appalachian woods as the English ones, they do have otters too, after all.

Thanks for watching!

this could open up on The Witcher game series. What a lovely song! I'd bet 100$ the drums are programmed though. That one-note snare sound was getting hard to listen to. some assorted mild velocity changes and finding multiple hits of the same snare would fix it imo, but no one asked me what I think! hah picky B aside, it was a great little tune. I found this from finding your apex twin remakes from listening to other people do similar stuff. Had to click on the "about" section in your other youtube channel because what you do; I'm all about it. I'm checking out your bandcamp next. I love hidden gem musicians man
