Wow - I wish this had been posted before our recent trip! Many thanks.I loved the subway in CDMX - despite the crowding! We had Uber - but never bothered using it - the subway was fast and they had long trains with big cars (at least, bigger than our tiny Skytrain cars in Vancouver). We took the Metrobus to Condesa - it was even more crowded than the subway (and you don't get that satisfying feeling of travelling fast).One tip: if you don't have a Metrocard, buy your return ticket at the booth when you purchase your initial trip - so if there is a big line when you are returning, you are already good to go. This helped us dodge a long line up at Autobus del Norte on our way back from Teotihuacan.Anther tip: the Metrocard machines do not give change - it will load the card with whatever amount you feed into the machine. So don't put in a $100 peso note unless you plan to take a lot of rides (100 pesos will get you 20 trips at $5 pesos per ride on the subway and 16 trips at $6 pesos per ride on the metrobus).  Enjoy!

This is so useful ! Ironically Adriana and I never did actually take the subway, we got way to used to the 2-3$ Uber rides, haha. We did take the bus once though.

Hi Eleen, thank you to show how the sistem is, in that is. Safe, the only problem is rush hours. In the morning from 7: 00 to 10:00 and the evening from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Best time to enjoy the orange sworm, is between 11:00am and 3:00 pm. And It's still sheap. Enjoy Our city.

Subways in Mexico City - CDMX (Cuidad de Mexico) is cheap to ride!😊👍 About 35 cents Canadian which is affordable for me.

You don't need a dedicated app to see the subway map, you can use Google Maps, enter the address you want to go, then tap the blue navigation icon, select the train icon and Google will tell you what routes are available in the public transport system.

Glad you liked my city! I personally don't like the subway on pickhours, is so overwhelming, but I also like it goes to everywhere in the city and that why I like it so much.

Hi Eileen. Congratulations for your channel, very informative videos. I’m just adding a note. The individual paper ticket is not available and is not accepted on all the metro stations, especially in the newer lines. I recommend buying the metrocard instead. For only extras US$0.50, you can keep it as souvenir or just give it away when you are done with it.
