As a New Yorker and baseball fan, my heart ❤ goes out to the people and fans of the Athletics over losing their team. It was one of my favorite road teams I loved seeing my Yankees play because of the loyal and colorful A’s fans making their rally call noise with the horns, drums in the background along with their great organist playing the “Let’s Go Oakland “ rally cry! I actually shed a tear 😢 after manager Kotsay gave the rally cry one last time to the Oakland fans. My condolences also to the city of Oakland over losing their other two sports franchises (Raiders, Warriors). Hopefully in the future, Oakland ought to be considered for expansion. One baseball fan to another!

As a White Sox fan, I will remember this.

Moved to the Bay Area over a year ago, and became an A’s fan (after being a St. Louis fan most of my life and having lost faith in their front office). Thanks to the A’s, I fell in love with baseball again. As to their park, I’ve gone to several ballparks, and while the Coliseum wasn’t bright, shinny, and new (neither is Wrigley, Kaufman, Miller, or Fenway), it is a great place to watch a game. And if I may add, the staff of the Coliseum is second to none. My partner is disabled, so walking can be a challenge especially distances, with large crowds, and or going up and down steep stairs. When we asked for assistance, they never failed us. We were at the first of the games in their series with the Yankees, and the last game in the Coliseum (way up in section 330). The staff got us there like it was eating pie for them. My heart is heavy, but I’m glad we were there.

I'm not from the bay area but I feel like a piece of my heart is being ripped away from me right now. Feels horrible😢

As a Padres fan, give it ten years and I feel like it will be us next. I sympathize with the A's...

I'm a Mets fan, but just as much a baseball fan. I cherish the memories of The Oakland Alameda County Coliseum and the Athletics, and my heart breaks for all of you.😢

My first game was in Oakland. Sad this is the end

You hit the nail on the head yet again. I personally have a huge disinterest in baseball this season. I haven't even watched one inning of any game.

I went one last time. Fisher took our team away, but he NEVER will take my memories of this team. At least I have that over him, not that he cared. This was the last time I celebrated my birthday. I felt so sad. Thank you for the advice Brodie. I told my family that I’ll have to watch the last game played at Oakland and the last game by myself. know I will be crying. You have been a great commentary. I always looked forward to watching you before the game with Stewart and Bip. I hope the next chapter in your life will be amazing. There is crying in baseball. Well said. I’ll be there on Sep 26th remembering the great times at the Coliseum. It will be the last time I go to a MLB game. Fisher and MLB has made me a bitter man and I am done with MLB. I will have a lot of free time and money to spend elsewhere.

Thank you, Brody. You're the best! I live in Southern California but have been a lifelong A's fan. My heart is breaking and feels like it's been ripped out. I feel like my best and closest friend is dying. The Oakland A's were always there for me in good times and bad and I don't know what I'll do without them. Thank you, again.

Thank you, Brodie. It is completely heartbreaking and what makes it even worse is that it’s so unnecessary. 😰

When I was a child I rode my bicycle with my friends to day games. Security guards were our buddies who looked after us and watched our Schwinn Sting Ray bicycles. We sat in the bleachers and ate cheap hot dogs and drank root beer. We wore our A’s gear and enjoyed being care free and enjoyed the game we had fallen in love with. Seems like a very distant memory.

We lost our NBA Supersonics, so i feel for fanbases that lose their teams and see them go to another state. I never liked the Arizona Coyotes but i get how they feel seeing them now the Utah (we don't have a name yet) Hockey Club, iv seen people shit on them telling them to get over it and follow a new team 😔 its not that easy to just get over a team you grew up watching and loved to be stolen from your city or unable come to agreements or whatever to stay and relocating. We're here with you ♡ wear your A's jerseys with pride, never let the MLB think you've forgotten them, NBA expansions coming up and Seattle has a high chance of getting our Supersonics back and that would have never happened if we layed down and moved on.

I'm a 80's baby, been a fan since the Bash brothers. Took my daughter to the A's vs Yankees on the 20th. Her first and last Oakland A's game. Just me and her, Happy to have that memorable moment with her. But sad No more Oakland ANYTHING!. Oakland is probably gonna go bankrupt

My brother. Your consistency and authenticity... your longevity and evolution... YOU ARE A MAJOR VOICE AND FACE FOR BAY AREA SPORTS. I know this season is a tough one... BUT BIG THINGS ARE AHEAD FOR YOU! .. Bip was right. You are loyal... You are faithful and there will be a reward.
