Man the nostalgia makes me so sad. This game was my childhood. After school I would play this only allowed for 2-4 hours by strict rules of parents. I had nothing to worry about other than to play this game and have fun

One morning before school I had convinced my mom to let my stay home. I explored deep into Perion that day. I vividly remember eating cocoa pebbles and leveling on the family computer.

I played this game back in 2005, and I got overwhelmed with Nostalgia. Thanks for the video, but it's not the same. Almost every map is empty, back in the day the community is what made it great. You would bump into strangers everywhere, and do quests or explore together. That's something that private servers miss, because there are way less people, sadly.

The ‘original’ style of Maplestory (2003 to 2011) is just way better and more nostalgic. Like the Kirby series (especially games like Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (which the overworld map kind of reminds me of this game since it’s a game where the player can explore anytime during their gameplay), Kirby’s Return to Dream Land and Kirby and the Forgotten Land) I love the music, the maps and characters in this game and Ellinia is my most-favourite map.

I never got far in Maple Story I think I'd make like a level 30 character before resetting and playing a different job but the memories are ingrained in my dna.
