I have been eating plant-based foods, especially nuts and seeds, all my adult life and at 84 I am in excellent health. I would also add broccoli and blueberries to the list. Eat these foods and you will never regret it.

Basically eat vegan 😎 I love videos like this because even though I’m vegan it’s a great reminder of what the core needs of the body are. This was a definite reminder to eat more deliberately.

Great video! Thanks for uploading! For me, I have walnuts (in moderation due to calories), some other nuts (e.g., two or three Brazil nuts, a few almonds), cruciferous vegetables (e.g., broccoli), low-oxalate dark leafy greens (such as kale), carrots or sweet potatoes, and legumes (such as lentils, kidney beans, black beans, chickpeas). And legumes are my main calorie source). And of course, the necessary supplements: Vitamin B12, D3, low dose iodine, and omega 3 EPA/ DHA.

And if you have not already, I’d really recommend you read “Proteinalholic” by Garth Davis and “How not to diet” by Michael Greger!!

In India, if you look at the diet of the majority of Indians, it includes cereals, pulses, lentils, vegetables, fruits & nuts, Also almost 80% of Indians are vegetarian. The foods that you are mentioning are eaten almost every day here in india.

Great video! I like the apple lady. So quick and easy and simple and I feel like for nonvegs it would be a good starting point. I have all these foods in my pantry and I feel like a proud, healthy vegan but if I were to mention millet to a nonveg they would have no idea what I'm talking about. I brought an orange to work for my lunch dessert the one day and having peeled it with my hands the woman next to me commented on how amazing it smelled. Simple, easy, and delicious! Great way to get people to eat healthier!
