Opening session: Initiative for Coal Regions in Transition - Coal Regions in Transition Virtual Week

This session opened the Coal Regions in Transition Virtual Week. After the opening remarks of MEP Jerzy Buzek (TBC), speakers provided a brief update on parallel projects running and that are of interest for the Initiative’s community, namely the Coal Academy and the Erasmus for Coal Regions. In the second part, we invited national and regional governments to present recent updates in their specific coal phase-out path and to answer questions from the audience.
