Lancer Vs. Susiezilla! - [Deltarune 3D Animation]

Lancer and Susie's character arc in a nutshell based on Chapter 1 & 2 (at least the way I see it). Susie tries to scare Lancer off but eventually they bond over chalky Susiezilla roars. ♠️

This idea has been sitting in my drafts for way too long now, plus I haven't featured Lancer in an animation yet, so it was about time to give blue Porky Minch some screentime. I'm so glad I can finally share this one with you guys! I love Susie and Lancer's chaotic yet wholesome dynamic so I wanted to do a little tribute to it.

There were so many bits and pieces of this animation that were posing a challenge, such as the sound design, Susie's roars and the expressions. The animation and rendering parts were pretty chill but I struggled coming up with a sound headcanon for Susie's roars so I just picked and mixed ones that sorta sounded like a dino or a dragon (after failing to make one myself), mixed in with some Godzilla because wink wink nudge nudge reference. I made this Lancer model about a year ago so I had to get his rig polished up with a few more expressions for this one, which I decided to keep fairly 2D to make him more stylized. Enjoy!
