U.S.-Asia economic competition

Asia has become an industrial power because the United States corporations gave it away with federal government help. Now we sell each other insurance and deliver pizza.

The world welcomes these developing countries that are committed to democratic values. Dictatorships more often than not lead to wars, human rights violations, and trouble.

There's nothing natural about variances in historic development.

Economic models of development need leadership and an educated population.


That doesn't seem to be natural as nice as it would be to believe it.

Additionally the advantages of geography and available resources are a significant factors. And don't forget educational funding of the population. (Think Costs Rica v. the rest of Latin America).

USA must be mad to imagine it could stop china progress. Just by population size alone, china has many more geniuses, scientists, researchers, engineers etc, invest more in R&D, has better government support, bigger market and a culture of diligence/discipline entirely lacking in the USA. Plus China has reached a critical mass to power its own rapid progress. Cheers.
