Hello everyone! In this video I compare the Tamron 17-70 F2.8 and the Standard Sony Kit Lens. These lenses cover similar focal ranges and seem to perform pretty similarly, aside from some color differences and of course the aperture. Hope you enjoy!

Not a hell of a lot of difference at the widest focal length but as soon as you zoom in the tamron seems to outperform

Although the kit lens put of a great fight, the Tamron came as a clear winner. I am interested in seeing how the both handle low light

I bought a Sony a6000, and then immediately the sigma 18-50 f2.8. A year later I decided to try the kit lens, and as a result I'm seriously considering selling the Sigma to get a lens that covers a completely different focal length to the kit lens. I don't print anything or sell my photos, they're just for me. So the kit lens is perfectly sharp enough to view from my phone or computer. As a mostly landscape/street photographer, I hardly ever find the need to use f2.8, maybe for >5% of my photos.

Tamron is visibly much better but it's really too big for something like a zv e10, it defeats the purpose of having an aps-c cam

little improvement with huge price is not worth unless you are using it for business.
