The ironic thing is that Kyoshi recited Kuruk's poem that was meant for Hei - Ran as they were just hanging out at the kitchen. Kelsang, a former friend of Kuruk's grew suspicious that Kyoshi might have been the avatar because of that poem.

Oh and Hei - Ran is actually Rangi's mom so Kurok might not have gotten Hei- Ran in his lifetime but when he did reincarnate to Kyoshi, she got Rangi.
