Interesting fruit, where can you get seeds and/or the fruit in NZ ?

I’m intrigued how long it takes for your experiments to go from seeds to fruit-producing. You are one of the few YouTubers who posts the whole journey. This is amazing! How long did it take?

Wow, all I can think is that you must have the BEST tasting tomato's! My Gran used to save the seeds from the best tomato's and melons to reproduce.

Wow this thing grew thick and strong! I remember your previous video. Great, succinct video. Hope you give Lulo (Solanum quitoense) a chance one day. If you start seeds in a growing tent 6 months before when you usually sow seeds, you'll be able to get it to fruit. It's really tasty and makes one of the best juices ever. Just make sure to not overwater it because it's very susceptible to Fusarium infection.

G'day Kalem, where do you get most of your unusual edibles from? Have you even considered raising some seedlings of these and selling them?

A bit short this video but still you're my favourite smf nursery guy/gardner on this media. Do you think this tamarillo would grow in my part of the world? France, close to the Mediterranean border with Spain, 650m altitude facing South with scortching sun 😀

It seems that you're in a slightly similar climate to us so it's good to know what would work and not work where we are in NZ. Thanks!

This species can hybridize with C. corymbiflora which is another Tamarillo species with edible fruits that is really hardy, down to -9°C.

Ripe and hanging on the tree, they look like persimmon. Actually the flower looks very similar too.

Dear Kalem, kia ora ❤🙋‍♂️
2 questions
1 does the fruit has some salinity like tomatoes do❓are they sweet at all ❓

2: you mentioned cold hardy
But how about hot climate hardiness ❓our limiting factor is hot 🔥 long summers getting worse each year .
Thank you
Happy gardening .
