I have the X for my personal phone and the XR for my work phone. I like the smaller size of the X better...the XR just seems a little too big. I also like having 3D touch, even though the haptic touch works fine on the XR. Aside from the size, both are great and have realty good screens and battery life. Performance seems about the same.
