This main menu alone beats all of the recent Call of Duty’s.

This game was my first Call of Duty, it was so difficult that I literally had to draw maps to come up with strategies. All this being 11 years old, I do not regret it.

It had no swear words, and the Spanish dubbing was excellent, Sergeant Puskov's death shocked me because he was the first NPC to help me in the game.

I died a thousand times but every hour played was worth it (You had a life bar, and you could only regenerate it with medkits that were very difficult to find).

NOT ONE STEP BACK!!!!

My brother once got Finest Hour and Big Red One as a two pack. The stark contrast of both menu themes was just too much for 11 year me. Finest Hour menu has such haunting atmosphere, the dark sky, the lightning, the shells going off in the background, the crickets chirping, the somber music accompying it, it was so haunting that for the longest time I couldn't play it because I knew this how war was. Somber, tragic, and haunting. I knew what was going on yet it terrified me. Now that I'm older, I can fully appreciate what this menu was going for and is the reason why I can understand the tragedy that is war. It's like seeing the war itself from afar. It's haunting, yet strangely peaceful.

Loved this main menu as a kid. Probably the best in game history Imo. The song along with the ambient sounds of war (explosions), ambient wind and live background make this so immersive almost as if the menu alone is a window back to ww2. Could it be possible to jump through the t.v.?

Hearing this theme as a kid along with the briefings at the beginning of every mission made me feel as though I had a rifle in my hands to fight the germans to the bitter end. It still does.

man the nostalgia, i got this and a xbox for my 10th birthday where i really got into gaming, it was amazing, i remember staying up late sneakily playing Finest hour over and over, and raging at the level where you were with the british soldiers trying to take the fortress, the machine gunner in the fortress kept killing me and got on my nerves and then getting caught staying up, man...good memories
