Bob Lutz is a national treasure (“the car looked like a silver suppository”). I could listen to his stories for hours.

Having worked for GM from 1984-2010, this series is really interesting to watch and get the inside stories of one the industry’s great executives. Thanks.

He is a legend. Bob has been involved with the success of so many iconic great vehicles. Interesting to hear how he was almost the polar opposite to Lee Iacocca.

Each part of this series is immensely fun. Bob is free to explain his power moves with exacting detail, thanks to your humble, confident demeanor. It’s open season on bean counters in this series, and I’m all for it! Well done, as always

Bob’s stamp of influence was clear on FOE in the 80s, and Chrysler’s culture he created possibly still resonates within Stellantis.

Adam, thank you so much for landing this interview of one of my favorite automotive heros AND for being such a well versed interviewer! I wouldn't know what to say the few times some names escaped Bob's immediate recall. Imagine the history and the number of names he's had to learn and retain over such an illustrious career!

Thanks Adam, excellent interview series. Bill Bourke came from Ford Canada sales to Australia to be deputy MD/then MD in the mid-sixties. He did a great job of turning Ford's market share around and took on the then dominant GM-Holden with a great deal of energy and succeeded, he then was Asia-Pacific MD and back to Ford US. It seems that life at the top of these car companies is tough when the egos of the high achievers finally come together.

I love watching all of your “talks”, Adam, but this one, by far, is the very best. I’m a HUGE Bob Lutz fan. He seems like a regular guy, is definitely passionate about cars and is pragmatic in his thinking. What a great interview series - kudos to you!

I’ve always enjoyed reading and listening to different interviews that Bob has given over the years. I became aware of Bob’s career around the time he became number 2 at Chrysler and have paid attention to what he had to say. Bob always has interesting opinions, but in the back of my mind I’ve always believed that no one enjoys the sound of their own voice more than Bob Lutz.
