Is it good? Is it funny? Did they COMPLETELY miss the satirical point of video thus ensuring the ire and fire of Bo's most loyal fans? Can they make all the single ladies say OH BO...Oh, oh, oh, Bo!!!! Reaction to "Welcome to the Internet" by comedian Bo Burnham.

Well, the guy on the left kinda gets it.
Bo IS funny, but the best thing about "inside" is that it's actually not funny but tragic.

Bo is closer to George Carlin, meaning he puts heavy introspective shit into his work that makes you think. The bridge or "middle part" is him talking to Zoomers. A generation that has no concept of life with out the internet. He does it under a guise of a carnival barker, initially leading you in with the camera constantly coming closer and the music being whimsical and joyous. As the subject matter gets darker and darker the camera slowly pulls away and you get like a Disney villain vibe, especially with the laughter after saying "It was alway the plan to put the world in you hands" i.e. smartphones to kids who don't have a fully developed mind yet and can't comprehend the horrors that exist on the internet. The entire special as a whole is an absolute masterpiece. He did everything, wrote, directed, the lighting and cinematography. It all takes place in one room. It's his decent into madness. It's full of laughter and existential dread.

Your reaction kind of disappointed me. You didn't ever listen to his "Joker" laugh since you missed a huge part of the "Joke", even though this song isn't about being funny. I think you guys might need to pause and rewind a bit more, cause you are missing HUGE cues about the song and what it means. I wanna say good try but I think the guy on the left was closer to understanding and still missed a lot.

Why would he get in trouble for merely using the fall the twin towers as a time reference point?

Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it

You have to pay attention to the details of his lyrics. "It was always the plan to put the world in your hand" as in putting the internet on a handheld device. He talks about the internet before 9/11 and compares it to how gen z grew up. He points out that the internet was waiting "for you, you, insatiable you" as in a person that must always be satiated by the dark and light sides of the internet. He also uses the phrase "your insides out" as in your previous private feelings are now out on display on social media platforms. I encourage you guys to think deeply on the lyrics of the off-tempo middle section. There are many hidden messages and meanings! Otherwise good reaction. Sucks to see alot of downvotes

Speaking of being a father. As a father, I have recognized that the 'best' parents are people without kids...lol

so this is from his new Netflix special - inside, which you guys should definitely check out I will preface that the special isn’t all comedy and laughs, which is probably why the middle section confused you a little bit, it mainly focuses on bo’s mental health since taking a break from comedy and of course quarantine, I actually find the special incredibly sad, if you want a song that shows the real reason behind the special, I’d check out ‘all eyes on me’. :)

Wow... cut the middle section out? So ruin the song completely. Good suggestion. Lol.

TLDR: The internet is evil and this is a villains theme song

For context of this video. He’s the personification of the Internet. But it’s also the “Villain’s Theme” as the Villain won. Before in the beginning he was just giving you the options of the internet, slowly going towards the darker parts of the internet until he blatantly says “See a dude get beheaded” and “DM a Girl and Groom her”. Then while singing about ‘back then’ he starts to gloat but also says stuff like “If we stick together who knows what we’ll do?”. And then at the last part “The Internet” didn’t need to hide its intentions anymore since, it already won. Hence the evil laugher. Instead of a coexistence as it promised “If we stick together!” It turned into a parasite leeching off you. And since the Internet has completed its goal it doesn’t care about being caught since it won.

Most most millennials actually DO have the attention span and patience to take in Bo's careful, deliberate pace. Slow bits, pauses and all. Its almost as if all this generation-bashing was completely lacking wisdom or insight.

I definitely recommend watching other ones like 30 or just the whole special honestly

You need to react to more of his songs from the new special, for example: "White Woman's Instagram", "All Eyes On Me", "How The World Works" & More. Love your videos!

This has an extremely deep meaning of the internet it isnt "funny" traditionally it's about our attachment to the internet the new generation having it thrown in their face as children and the good vs bad of the internet

I don’t think you guys got the premise of the video. I understand you want bo to continue in the first (comedic) style but this is bo’s M.O. a bait and switch where the comedy pivots and your left to pick up the pieces of your life that he’s just smashed a bunch of holes in.

He'd be the perfect RBatts Joker. I don't think I'm overstating that if Pattinson is as good as Bale he could be as good as Ledger but in a different way.

Honestly, between this video and your comments, y'all seem to be more into autofellatio than contribution.
