Many languages have been performed in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. From English to Georgian, from French to Arabic, from Portuguese to made up languages, singing in your own language can make your song stand out.

In the passed 10 years two winners included their native language in their songs. Salvador Sobral in 2017 and Jamala in 2016.

This year we will hear 18 different languages on the Eurovision stage. Let’s take a closer look at where to find them.

Imagine if the UK sung in a language that wasn't English? I think it would be cool if we did a song in Welsh instead. I mean why not?

These songs are the ones I like more.... it's so good to hear these different languages, better than English if you come from a country that has another language...more real and autentique.
My favourites: Italy ❤ and Portugal!
In the exhibition in Esc, it would be a good think to introduce the songs with a brief explanation of the meaning.

I like the sound od all different languages. It's appealing, though Italian is my favourite world language. It's so so so so melodic, passionate, beautiful. Even when they are angry. Love it.

And that is why one of these songs should win. We should encourage language variety in the contest. After Portugal won in 2017 with a song fully performed in Portuguese, we went from 4 non English songs in 2017 to 13 in 2018 and 10 in 2019, which is great.

P.S. Credits to Denmark for sending the only multilingual song this year (even if I don't like it).

If Electric Fields had won Australia Decides, we'd have Australian aboriginal language this year. What a shame.

Languages we could have heard for the first time in Eurovision 2019:
1. Pitjantjatjara Yakunytjatjara (Electric Fields - 2000 and Whatever, AUS NF Second Place), could have been the first Pama-Nyungan language in the contest.
2. Tagalog (Bella Santiago - Army of Love, ROU NF Third Place), could have been the first Austronesian language in the contest.
3. Greenlandic (Julie & Nina - League of Light, DEN NF Second Place), could have been the first Eskimo-Aleut language in the contest.
