I am always confused by this, because in KR1 there is a footnote at the bottom of the Armour resistance Tip that says artillery ignore half of armour and it is never stated in any of the other games so I think to myself that it is different between games. Apparently not.

I also notice that archers have very bad aim at curves and Golden longbow has very bad aim in general....

so that's why ghosts in Vegeance can vulnerable to artillery since they're immune to physical compared to ghosts in frontiers who only take magic damage.

the only explosive damage attack I know for sure is Doom Tank's normal attacks

I am shocked that so many people in the comments did not know this! This fourth damage type is the main reason why I hold artillery in high esteem and why I constantly use them against levels with a complex mix of enemies who are resistant to physical and magical damage. For example, battle mechas (even without missiles) versus Maqua earth and spirit shaman mixed auras

This always confused me, mostly of how kind of odd it is. I mean, why in a gameplay sense would artillery be able to do such a thing? It does high damage.
