Dr. Harbeck has over 30 years of experience instructing graduate students in education, legal policy, and the social science. She has also taught writing and research and chaired numerous dissertations at Northeastern University, the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Brandeis University, Boston College, and the Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Harbeck is a national advocate for LGBT youth in schools and colleges and was the Senior Author and Editor of Coming Out of the Classroom Closet. She also wrote Gay and Lesbian Educators: Personal Freedoms/Public Constraints.
