I would definitely recommend you look at correct range of motion and proper control with this exercise

Be cautious using weight for neck conditioning—neck muscles are delicate, and improper form or excessive load can lead to serious injury. Focus on controlled movements and gradual progression to stay safe.

Neck conditioning is probably the single most important thing one could do for safety and longevity in ye olde trampwall division of circus- the sheer violence of the landings can be ridiculous.

I recently did a few experiments with an accelerometer and found that my head was reaching 11 Gs during the impact phase of a trick.. the implications for the squishy contents of my noggin are not exactly wonderful 😅. I haven't tried weighted neck like this yet but will now, cheers for sharing!
