Lidl & Asda Food Prepping Haul| Beat energy prices| Frugal living

Hi Guys, so I went to Lidl to get loads of food for my prepping pantry. I'm still preparing for this winter and price rises in October. The supermarkets are increasing their prices again, so if you have any spare cash I would go and get a few bits now.

Lizzy you are so talented ! All the things you can make! Love the little pumpkins. You did great with your hauls. We all need some treats . Please be reminded that stress is the number one cause of illness. 33 years of hospital nursing so I say this from experience. We all can only live one day at a time so breathe deep and just do the next thing. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can do for your son. Nothing ever stays the same. Peaches in tins at Aldi are 31p each. Don't fret pr get anxious, try sticking to a budget, for extras to put by I personally get 5 items a week, whether its peaches, coffee, sugar, rice anything, mix it up tinned meats to. Looking at the ads or aps can be good if you have a small notebook make a list of items and note beside prices at each shop beside it. Avoid things you won't use or eat. Above all Don't panic. Another good person to watchbis The Scottish Prepper he keeps you up to date nine panicking, avoid the scare mongers on USA sites, they will have you running scared. Great little haul. X

if you have a hot water flask you can boil the kettle and put the in the flask. you have hot water for tea or soup or whatever during the day without having to boil the kettle again. We do this when we go camping it works really well

I've been prepping since the lockdowns. So shocked this morning at a rather huge leap in prices in Morrisons, £4.22 for a normal size tin of spam! and oil is ridiculous, good job I've stocked up over past year on the oil, so should be OK for awhile. I've been batch baking and freezing. I try to buy regular items on special offer if I can or do without. Morrisons is limited items atm too. My two eldest sons surprised me for my birthday as they had clubbed together to get me a generator, best birthday present ever.
