The High Hatters - I May Be Wrong (23.08.1929)

The High Hatters was one name used by the Victor House orchestra. The initial leader of the group was Nat Shilkret who put together a fine group of musicians to record on the Victor label. In due course additional work commitments by Mr. Shilkret led him more into the production area. As he had less time to conduct his orchestras, Victor invited a young man called Leonard Joy to take over the role of Musical Director. He remained with Victor for almost 20 years.
