George Lucas worked odd jobs to afford his first film

Never give up on your dreams. Lucas was rejected from film school twice before he finally got into the University of Southern California. He also had to work a variety of odd jobs to support himself while he was making his first film, THX 1138. But he never gave up on his dream of becoming a filmmaker, and eventually he created one of the most successful film franchises of all time.
