Показать описание
The Perdigon is a simple midge/nymph pattern that is perfect for a nymph rig or at home of a euro nymph setup. It is a staple for stocked fish as the color can attract fish and stand out. Typically, we "dumb down" the flashy elements for native or educated fish. Regardless, this fly produces...especially in fast water or overcast days.
Guide Flies are patterns that a "easy" to tie allowing a guide to fill his or her box for clients. There are a lot of different patterns out there, but we plan to share some of our favorite patterns that don't require a ton of materials and will cut down your time at the vice. Recipe - keep it simple and adapt:
It is pretty much a clouser minnow tied with flash fibers
-Hook - curved nymph hook - size 14-22
-Bead head - tungsten or brass - preferably darker colors (grey, black, brown, etc.)
-Tail - midge flash, hackle feathers, other feathers...not too important, but you do what the tail to stand out
-Rib - small wire, but not needed if using expoxy
-Thread - ultra thread or sparkle thread - you can use black or red similar to a zebra midge for more educated fish
-Coating - UV resin or Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails
We used bensound for music and Hitflim to edit.
