How to play samples with MIDI [Elektron Octatrack Tutorial]

I've had the Octatrack for a minute now, but this one took an embarrassing amount of time for me to figure out. Hope it helps you avoid that pesky manual for just a little longer.

Hey thanks for the video, I have managed to get my keystep to send midi to the OT but I cant record the notes or even change the parameters of the sample it seems that the key step is just sending triggers

Man, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the OT to turn off the color in my room --like you did near the end of the video

Hi thanks for the video.
I wonder if you know how to play another sample on the same track with the midi controller. I can only make it happen if I assign another sample to the track but then it change the sample in all patterns.
I know how to change a sample per step but I would like to play it in live instead of step edit. I hope you understand what I mean and hope you've found out how to do it.
