Sou do Nordeste do Brasil e a minha avó me contou uma vez que antigamente no interior dela as pessoas usavam bastante a palavra encarnado como vermelho, embora hoje esse uso não seja mais tão frequente, pelo menos aqui no Brasil. Antes eu pensava que era uma palavra nordestina mesmo, mas agora sei que tem origens portuguesas. Interessante. 😄

I love European Portuguese and I'm glad that finally there is a good YouTube channel. But as a person who has studied many languages I'd like to share something with you. Why do you use English in your videos? I honestly believe using Portuguese would be much better, since that's what we want to learn and listen to.

The best channels in languages (English with Lucy, Français avec Pierre, Learnamo, Italia with Lucrezia....etc...etc) use their own language to teach, and I think the learning process is much better. I know you have a list of videos recorded in Portuguese and thanks for that. It makes it easier to find them. You're recording often. I can see your efforts and you do have results. Congratulations ! I wish you could make more videos in Portuguese.

Hi, I have question: In order to describe the color of an object: and the color is Red : when do we use the word Vermelho / Vermelha and when do I use Encarnado / Encarnada? What is the difference in the usage of each one of these two words? Is it equivalent 1:1? If not, why? and when should we use each one of these two? Muito obrigado !

Could you explain the color grey a little bit more? Are ‘cinzento’ and ‘cinza’ the designated masculine and feminine words for grey? Or does each one also change for the gender, like ‘cinzenta’ and ‘cinzo’?
