A wave of brutal vigilante justice is roiling Haiti, in response to the country's violent gangs. Gang-related killings and kidnappings have dropped as a result, but human rights activists worry about the gruesome violence meted out against suspected gangsters and fear innocent people will be killed. As a Salvadoran I support people fighting against gangs, don't let anyone tell you what you should do, those people don't even know how much suffering those gangs cause.

People get tired of the abuse and certainly you don't face monsters as a lamb.

When government doesn’t protect you adequately nor allow you own firearms, gotta do what you gotta do defend yourselves .

Seeing things like this make me realize how privileged, and sheltered I am just by pure chance. I couldn’t imagine having to fight this battle.

I hope there is peace soon

When your government fails to protect you, and the people don't fight back. Sometimes you gotta do things yourself

Haiti has type of martial arts with machetes. it's amazing how we still got that warrior blood from Dahomey.

I was born in Haiti
Came to America in 1999 at 14 years old and moved to Miami

Now I work security nightshift in Orlando Florida and make YouTube videos on the mind and success

Not sure what I would be doing if I never came to America

The carrying, possession even at home of firearms, ammunition and dangerous weaponry is strictly prohibited on national territory to any person unless he has a license or has been specifically authorized by Haiti Armed Forces

Can't really call it _vigilantism_ when they are living in a state of anarchy, can you? When there is no one there upholding a rule of law?

We need you in Canada. Criminals are given permission by police to do whatever they want.

Just a matter of time until these vigilantes turn into a gang themselves.

Every human being has the right to self preservation. Governments should not take that away unless the person is a criminal.

No country wants to get involved in that mess as they will have to stay forever. As soon as they leave the chaos will begin again as that is the nature of those people.
